General dentistry is the everyday care that protects your mouth, teeth, and gums. It includes routine examinations, hygiene appointments, preventive advice, and the diagnosis and treatment of common issues like tooth decay and gum concerns. Our team designs bespoke care plans so you can feel confident about your smile and supported in your long-term wellbeing.,Good routine care supports everyday comfort too. Healthy gums are less likely to bleed, and teeth that are regularly checked tend to need smaller, simpler treatments. You spend less time worrying about problems and more time enjoying the meals and moments that matter.
During your visit, we assess your teeth, gums, soft tissues, and bite. We look for early signs of decay and gum disease, review jaw comfort and movement, and talk through any changes you’ve noticed.
You’ll receive clear explanations and practical advice so you can make informed choices at every step.
We invite your questions and give you time to decide on the option that feels right.

Hygiene appointments target plaque and tartar that home brushing can miss. Your hygienist will tailor guidance on brushing, cleaning between teeth, diet, and lifestyle. These simple habits help lower the risk of cavities and gum disease.
Many patients find that a few consistent tweaks between visits make a real difference to oral health and fresh breath. Your hygienist can suggest toothpaste and interdental brushes that suit your teeth and gums, especially if you notice sensitivity.
From small fillings to managing early gum inflammation, we aim to spot concerns early and treat conservatively. Comfort and preserving natural tooth structure are priorities wherever suitable. If we recommend treatment, we’ll outline your options and why we’re suggesting them, so your plan fits your goals and supports long-term results you can trust. Where appropriate, tooth-coloured fillings are carefully matched to blend with your natural shade.
● CBCT Scanner. Our CBCT Scanner captures detailed 3D images of your teeth and jaws. This comprehensive view improves diagnostic confidence and treatment planning precision, for example when assessing roots, bone levels, or complex anatomy. Planning with accuracy supports smoother appointments and helps you understand your choices.
● Intraoral Scanner. Digital scans can replace traditional impressions for many treatments. A handheld wand captures a precise 3D image in minutes. It’s more comfortable and lets us view your teeth together in real time. This improves accuracy and can speed the creation of crowns, aligners, and night guards.
Viewing precise images together helps you feel informed, involved, and confident about your plan.
Most people are suitable for general dental care. We start with a full assessment of your oral health and bite.
You may not be ready for certain treatments if there is active decay, gum inflammation, or untreated toothache. We will address these first so your mouth is healthy and comfortable.
Bite issues and heavy grinding can affect the choice and longevity of repairs. If relevant, we’ll discuss protective options such as a bespoke night guard.
Your clinician will recommend the most appropriate route for durable, natural-looking results that suit your lifestyle.
General dental treatments are durable but not permanent. How long they last depends on your daily care and habits.
● The lifespan of fillings and other repairs varies with your bite, oral hygiene, diet, and routine.
● Occasional polishing, small repairs, or a refresh may be helpful over time.
● Habits such as nail biting, chewing ice or pens, and grinding can shorten longevity. If you grind, a custom night guard may help protect your teeth and repairs.
● Regular examinations and hygiene visits help maintain results and catch changes early, which supports calmer, shorter appointments.
General dentistry focuses on conservative improvements that support oral health.
Tooth-coloured materials can pick up surface stains and may chip with wear, so maintenance is sometimes needed. Final suitability and outcomes depend on your enamel, bite, and overall oral health. Planning images and previews are a helpful guide rather than a guarantee.
We’ll agree a recall rhythm that fits your needs, then refine it as your oral health evolves. Your plan may include hygiene visits, fluoride support, diet guidance, and checks on your bite and jaw function.
This continuity of care helps you enjoy your favourite meals, speak with ease, and smile confidently in photos. We’ll adapt advice as your needs change through work, family life, and different stages of health.
Choosing a dentist is personal. It helps to know what you can expect when you arrive.
● A relaxing, welcoming setting and a friendly team who listen to what matters to you
● Bespoke, patient-focused care plans grounded in prevention and comfort
● Modern diagnostics for clarity, precision, and time saved at each stage
● Clear explanations so you can move forward with confidence and calm
● Appointments that feel unhurried and respectful of your time.
