A sudden toothache can stop your day in its tracks, whether you are at home in Kingston or out at Kingston Centre. When you need help quickly, Silver Oaks Dental in Milton Keynes is here to support you with calm, clearly explained emergency care. Our focus is simple: reduce your discomfort, protect your oral health and give you a clear plan forward. We welcome patients from Kingston for same-day assessment whenever possible at our modern practice on Victoria Road, MK2 2NX.
Our team understands that dental emergencies can feel worrying. From your first call, we listen carefully, offer practical advice and arrange a prompt appointment. You will be seen by a clinician who will explain what they see, what it means and how we can help. The goal is that you leave feeling more comfortable and more confident about your next steps.

Emergency dentistry is immediate care for problems that cannot wait. It aims to ease pain, address injuries and stabilise your teeth and gums so you can return to your day with reassurance.
You might need emergency dentistry for:
● A severe or persistent toothache
● Sudden sensitivity that is getting worse
● A chipped, cracked or knocked-out tooth
● Facial or gum swelling that may suggest infection
● Ongoing bleeding after a dental injury
● A lost or broken filling, crown or veneer causing discomfort
In every situation, our first priority is your comfort and safety. We will assess your symptoms, explain what is likely happening and recommend the most suitable next steps for you. Once you feel heard and more at ease, it helps to know who is taking care of you and how we work.

Bespoke, patient-focused care
We take time to understand your concerns and how the problem is affecting your day. Your treatment is tailored to what you need in that moment, with empathy and clear guidance.
Precision that supports better outcomes
When clinically appropriate, our CBCT Scanner creates detailed 3D images to help us pinpoint the cause of your symptoms. This supports accurate diagnosis and thoughtful planning, which can save time and reduce uncertainty. Our Intraoral Scanner produces precise digital impressions in minutes. Many patients find this more comfortable than traditional impressions, and it helps you visualise what we see while we stabilise the area or plan follow-up care.
A relaxing, modern environment
From your first call to your aftercare advice, we aim to keep the experience calm and well explained. Small comforts and clear communication can make a big difference when you are dealing with an emergency.
Clear information at every step
You will understand your options, likely next steps and any recommended follow-up. We want you to feel informed and in control throughout your care.
First contact
Call our reception team and describe your symptoms. We will ask a few questions, offer immediate self-care advice where suitable and arrange a prompt appointment. If you have any relevant medical information or are taking medication, please let us know when you call.
On the day
Your clinician will carry out a focused examination to identify the cause of your discomfort. X-rays or a CBCT scan may be taken if clinically appropriate to clarify the problem and guide treatment. We will explain what we see in simple terms and check how you are feeling before we begin.
Relief and stabilisation
Our aim is to reduce pain and protect the affected area. Depending on your assessment, this may include smoothing sharp edges, placing a temporary filling or covering, or managing signs that may suggest infection. Suitability for any treatment depends on what we find. You will know what we are doing and why, so nothing comes as a surprise.
Planning ahead
Before you leave, we will provide tailored aftercare advice and outline any recommended follow-up to complete your treatment once the emergency phase is managed. This could involve a longer appointment for a bespoke crown or other restorative care. We book this with you at a time that fits your schedule and explain what to expect next.
Many emergencies can be made more comfortable on the day. Our goal is that you leave with your immediate concern addressed and a clear, confident plan for what comes next.
● Persistent or severe toothache not eased by over-the-counter pain relief
● Sensitivity that is worsening or affecting daily activities
● A chipped, fractured or knocked-out tooth after an accident
● Rapid swelling of the face or gums
● Ongoing bleeding after dental trauma
● A lost or broken filling, crown or veneer causing discomfort
If you recognise any of the above, please get in touch. Our team will assess your situation and guide you to the most appropriate next step for you.
Emergency care is about more than easing pain. It is about helping you eat comfortably, smile with confidence and get back to what matters in your day. Our clinicians combine advanced imaging with thoughtful, patient-first care so you feel supported now and well guided for the future.
If you need follow-up treatment, we will map out a simple, step-by-step plan that fits your life. You will know the purpose of each stage and how it supports your long-term oral health.
